Press Release Body: Austin, Texas (September 19, 2007) - On Friday morning, September 28th, Attorney General Greg Abbott will be presented the 2007 Texas Payroll Conference Government Partnership Award. "This prestigious award is given to Attorney General Abbott for his commitment and contributions to collect child support," stated 2007 Texas Payroll Conference President Kathy Phillips, and "how the contributions that payroll professionals and employers make to collecting the $8 billion in child support through payroll withholding; new hire reporting; information subpoena's, etc."
The conference includes keynote presentations and educational workshops presented by industry leaders, as well as an exhibition spotlighting the industry's most innovative products and services.
This year's agenda will examine the theme of "Capitolizing on Payroll," with payroll professionals from across the State of Texas attending the 18th Annual Conference at the Renaissance Austin Hotel on September 27-29, 2007. The event will feature more than 45 exhibiting companies and host over 400 attendees from private and public sectors representing all types and all sizes of businesses.
